S3 and S4 pupils have been developing their culinary skills after school on Wednesdays. After a few weeks practise and planning they produced a three course meal for paying customers in the cafe. The menu was:
Starter
Ceviche of Salmon on a bed of slow roasted tomatoes and cucumber, served with hollandaise and a tomato coulis.
Main
Chicken stuffed with black pudding, served with a whisky mushroom cream sauce, fondant potato and seasonal vegetables.
Dessert
Chocolate Mousse served with an orange sorbet.
The evening was very successful with 20 people attending. All pupils showed professionalism and dedication to make sure that the food and service was of an excellent standard. Well done to all those involved!
