Outstanding Effort – Academy pupil runs 100km in 6 days to raise money for anti-racism charity.

Invergordon Academy pupil Shadi Ali has completed his challenge of running 100km in 7 days and has raised a brilliant £580 so far!

Shadi wrote the following on his justgiving.com page:

‘I am running 100km in the space of a week. I’m doing this to raise money for the “show racism the red card” charity because it is one of the leading anti-racism charities in the UK. The Scottish Government will allow vital anti-racism education to continue once schools re-open, partnering with SPFL clubs and Police Scotland to engage with thousands more across the country.’

The charity is close to Shadi’s heart as he says he has been subject to racial abuse whilst playing his beloved football in the Highlands. He wants to help educate young people to kick racism out of the sport.
