You may be aware of the upcoming Scottish Apprentice week. DYW Inverness & Central Highland in collaboration with our core partners, Skills Development Scotland, Inverness Royal Academy & The University of the Highlands and Islands (UHI) are delivering an event that reflects the Modern Apprenticeship family. This will be an opportunity to learn about the benefits of work based learning and the different types of frameworks available.

The event is open for all parents, pupils to come along and learn more about modern apprenticeships, vocational learning and the benefits of work based learning.

In addition, If you are an employer who are perhaps thinking about the benefits of apprenticeships to your business and would like to learn more, then apprenticeship & skills providers will be available to discuss with you the opportunities and how to get started.

On the day there will be a mixture of local businesses to represent and talk about their sector, roles and opportunities. There will also be a number of apprentices there on the day. This will be a great opportunity to hear directly from them, about their journey so far and how they have benefited from work based learning.
