The news team caught up with Mr Stringer to ask him a few questions. Meet new English teacher, Mr Stringer.
Q1: What were your first impressions of the school?
Uhm… Very well. Just let me think about this. It seems like there’s a good atmosphere and community spirit. It’s different from other schools – small but everyone seems to know each other.
Q2: What did you do before you came here?
I taught in schools in Glasgow and I worked for the National Trust for about seven years as a tour guide, and I was an actor.
Q3: Do you have any hobbies?
I play football and I’m a musician.
Rachel asks: ‘What team do you support?”
Liverpool!
Q4: Do you have any tips for pupils for the coming year?
Listen to their teacher! (Snigger). Help one another and never be afraid to ask questions or make mistakes.
Q5: What is your dream job?
Teaching at Invergordon Academy obviously! Apart from teaching, it would probably be to own a record company or something like that.
Thank you Mr Stringer for answering our questions.
