Leaving school to study at university or college?
Pupils that plan to leave school and have applied to a university or college for a higher education course (HNC/HND/Degree) would normally have had a visit from SAAS (Student Awards Agency Scotland) in the coming weeks.
Students living in Scotland apply through SAAS to get tuition fees paid and also apply for loans and bursaries if eligible. The applications for courses starting in summer 2020 are now open. You can apply whether you have an unconditional or conditional offer. Applying by the 30th June will ensure that all the paperwork and finances are in place for the start of your course.
