Nigg Skills Academy (NSA) currently have several places available on the next National Certificate Fabrication/Welding and SVQ 2 Performing Engineering Operations course.

The next full time 16 week course starts on Monday 9th September and runs Mon- Fri from 8am – 4pm at NSA. The general criteria for applicants is Nat4’s in Maths and English.

There is a minibus running from Inverness providing pick up points along the A9 i.e Tore, Alness, Invergordon.

This is an intensive 16 week course working in conjunction with North Highland college. Possible bursary available depending on personal circumstances. 

There are no guarantees of employment on completion of the course however we do have a high employment and apprenticeship outcome rate.

NSA also offer work experience placements in the engineering workshop. This opportunity provides individuals an insight into working within Engineering/Oil & Gas. 

Work experience includes: cutting, grinding and prepping materials for the welders, machine shop training, small amounts of welding and fabrication, abrasive wheels, health and safety, warehouse/workshop training. Our previous work experience candidate is now an apprentice with Global Energy.
